Transfer from dns.vanrein.org to WontonGold

As explained on dns.vanrein.org, the DNS.vanrein.org service has ended and a smooth transition path has been arranged to the WontonGold domain name service. This page has been set up to help existing dns.vanrein.org customers transfer their domain names to WontonGold.

If your domain name is working properly, you have no reason to transfer it immediately. However, if your domain name expires soon, or if you want immediate service, you should now transfer your domain name to WontonGold. A transfer includes an automatic one-year renewal, for which you will have to pay. If you are transferring a single domain name, select the top option below. If you are transferring multiple domain names, select the second option below.

How the transfer works

This is a simple transfer from one Tucows Reseller to another. This means that you can continue to use the same management site as before, but you do have to transfer before you can continue to use (for example, renew) your domain service.

You will have to setup a new account for the domains that you transfer. You can make one account for all the domains at once. If you transferred domains before, mark yourself as an existing customer above; otherwise, mark yourself as a new customer.

The steps of the transfer are simple:

• Create a new WontonGold account or use a previously created one.
• Fill in the domain names to transfer to WontonGold.
• Pay WontonGold for one year of additional registration per domain name.
• As prompted over email, acknowledge the transfer with your DNS.vanrein.org account credentials.
• Your domain usually moves within a day. It will not suffer from downtime, and all its settings are copied to WontonGold.
